Supporting Black Girls become leaders in the Green Economy
ABOUT US
Mission
Jua Centre empowers Black girls ages 10 to 19 with the knowledge, leadership skills, and confidence to become leaders in sustainability. Through workshops, mentorship, and research-informed programs, we help young people understand environmental challenges and develop solutions in their communities
Vision
We envision a future where Black girls are recognized as leaders in sustainability, innovation, and global problem solving. Jua Centre works to ensure they have access to the tools, knowledge, and opportunities needed to shape a more sustainable and equitable world.
Values
We advance SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering Black girls with knowledge, leadership, and confidence. Through SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), we equip them to access opportunities and lead sustainable, inclusive change.
